Students in Grade 1 experience Language Arts and Mathematics every day.  Science and Social Studies time is based on particular topics and projects and is often through daily instruction in both areas or alternating days based on the particular topics.  All students attend a Science Lab with the classroom teacher and the school's Science teacher on a weekly basis.  Students participate in "Specials" classes that include Physical Education, Health, Vocal Music, Art and Library.  These subjects are scheduled on a weekly basis. Our unique "Focus" period provides a learning experience that is diferentiated to meet all children's needs.
